Summary of Services Provided
  • Direct delivery to named person - to protect the customer's valuable material
  • Flexible service with precise time keeping - to fit customer's needs
  • Material packed on site with insulated packaging supplied - to save the customer time and money
  • Refrigerated vehicle - to preserve the stability of the customer's material
  • Service tailored for needs of customer and commodity

Logistics Phase I material normally has to be moved extremely rapidly so the samples can be analysed immediately and is of huge value in terms of research. Laboratory machines are often booked for the analysis of these samples for particular time periods, so the consignments must be there on time for best use of time and money. These factors mean that the transport service has to be both precise and secure.
Our Solution

This movement can be achieved using our Domestic Service. The Biocair refrigerated vehicle was pre-cooled to the required temperature of +2 C and was in place at the precise time arranged 10:30hrs local time. The clinical staff identified the sample to be collected, which was then placed inside a Biocair sample bag and closed with a coded security tag, this was then placed into the insulated packaging.

Paperwork to accompany the samples were placed inside a document holder within the packaging, which was then sealed. The vehicle left the hospital at 10:45hrs and the samples were given to the named scientist at the research site at 11:50hrs. The extreme time sensitivity of such trials mean that we often repeat this exercise three times in a day, at any hour of the day and with little notice.
