Biocair’s global team of logistics experts have worked around the clock transporting the first 80,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine from Belgium to Johannesburg and immediately deploying it throughout South Africa, with all doses arriving at their destinations on time and in perfect condition.
Leonard Lazarus, Africa and India Regional Director, comments “firstly I would like to thank the global scientific community for their heroic efforts in developing COVID-19 vaccines within such a short space of time. The past few days have served as a true testament to the dedication, care and knowledge of each and every Biocair employee in delivering the COVID-19 vaccine to the people of South Africa.”
Under strict time and temperature-sensitive conditions, Biocair, the global specialist in life sciences logistics, worked alongside trusted partners in managing the deployment of the vaccines across all nine provinces in the country.
Speaking about the project, Vincent Howard, Chief Operating Officer, comments “this is another clear demonstration of Biocair’s commitment and contribution to global health, and ultimately reflects why we exist. Our team in South Africa have truly embodied the values and mission of Biocair.”
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Biocair has ensured the continuity of the life sciences supply chain, implementing new solutions 24/7 to ensure our customers’ critical shipments are transported both safely and effectively.
