Biocair is proud to share that they have received an EcoVadis silver medal rating for their sustainable business efforts. The EcoVadis platform provides one of the world's most comprehensive assessments of social, ethical and environmental business practices.
The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards, like those from United Nations Global Impact (UNGC) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The platform grades the efforts across four main pillars: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
In 2021, Biocair created a sustainability roadmap to accelerate efforts minimising its global footprint. To support these efforts, they committed to achieving an EcoVadis rating in 2022. Today, they are proud to announce that they have been awarded a silver medal, showing strength in all four pillars. They will continue to centre sustainability across all business practices to better serve customers and the wider community.
Stephen Cawley, Global Head of Sustainability at Biocair, says:
"I am very proud that only a year after we started on our sustainability journey, Biocair has been honoured with an EcoVadis silver medal. This achievement is one of several initiatives we have planned for this year as Biocair focuses on sustainability and being a responsible business. We have set ourselves the goal of achieving a gold medal by 2025, and I am excited that we may achieve that earlier."
