Specialist global courier to the life sciences sector, Biocair, is pleased to announce that it hosted an interactive workshop on Friday 5th July 2019 at The Wellcome Genome Campus in Cambridge (UK).
The Wellcome Sanger Institute is one of the premier centres of genomic discovery and understanding in the world and employs around 1,000 people. Attendees received a comprehensive overview of what to consider when shipping biological samples and were able to discuss with Biocair’s team of experts on topics such as hazard classification, packaging (UN3373) and cold chain temperature range, high risks goods and Brexit.
Split between morning and afternoon sessions, the event was open to all employees based at the campus. Speaking about the event, Karen Coyle, Client Relationship Manager at Biocair, comments that “for over 30 years we have solved many complex logistical problems and, as a result, have gained a huge amount of knowledge on how to ship biological samples on-time, efficiently and compliantly in line with all international regulations. These workshops are a great platform for us to share our expertise and help clients correctly and safely transport their critical shipments”.
The workshop forms part of a series of events planned by Biocair throughout the UK and beyond. For more information, or if you would like to get in touch with Biocair regarding similar events in your area, contact marketing@biocair.com.
