Biocair is honored to be featured in “Saving Lives: Sisonke”, a documentary chronicling the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in South Africa.
In February 2021, Biocair transported the first 80,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine from Belgium to Johannesburg with immediate deployment throughout South Africa. Under strict time and temperature-sensitive conditions, Biocair worked alongside trusted partners in managing the deployment of the vaccines across all nine provinces in the country.
Led by Professors Glenda Gray, President and CEO of the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC), and Linda-Gail Bekker, CEO of Desmond Tutu Health Foundation, the Sisonke project aimed at addressing the urgent need for a vaccine solution in South Africa.
